Overview:  John has very broad-based work experience and skills.  He has been involved in many interesting and challenging projects, takes pride in building and motivating successful teams and is an excellent communicator.   John is a consistent deliverer, who thinks outside the box, paying close attention to the detail that is so necessary to deliver projects and solutions successfully.

A Professional Manager with over 35 years experience in people management, building teams to successfully deliver projects & services, on time and to cost. 

John has worked for a variety of companies, where 27 years of the total was spent with 3 Major National and International Companies, (8/9 years each, in three of them) mainly in DP/IT and mainly, but not exclusively within the Banking, Telecoms, Retail & Hotel Industry.

John has successfully run the Other Mediterranean Country operation for a Major Plastic Card Company, with full P & L responsibility of £41 million turnover, for 8 countries.  This also included developing Portugal from almost scratch.

John has specialised in setting up new areas of responsibility: three sections, four departments, two regions, three divisions and various companies.  In addition he was part of a company rescue, subsequent MBO and sale to a plc.

A large part of John’s working life has been spent sorting out inefficient areas of operation: trouble shooting, rescuing projects, contracts, departments and a company that got into difficulties.  

In addition, John has run large IT Operations and Systems projects with “Impossible” deadlines.   The ability to “think outside the box” has meant that the fairly impossible has been achieved quite quickly with a win for all parties.
